• Originally hailing from the traditions of the Southern Highlands, we founded Sonidos del Ande to be a bridge. Every whistling jar we craft and every ceremony we lead is a tribute to our heritage. For us, this is not tourism; it is a sacred duty to preserve and share the ‘Sumaq Kawsay’ (The Good Living) with the world.

For over 20 years, Master Vicente Rayo Quispe has been more than a craftsman; he is a researcher of lost vibrations. His journey began with a simple question: How did our ancestors communicate with the cosmos? Today, Vicente is recognized by MINCETUR as a guardian of Andean heritage. Every whistling jar he molds and every pututo he awakens is the result of years of archaeological study and spiritual devotion.
